My Future career

My future career. I always wanted to be a police when I grow up and a rugby player too. So I think to myself I will study more and work more too because I will get better and better when I practice. I want to be like the all blacks and train like them and kick better like Dan Carter or be the couch like richie mccaw.

And that what I want to be The End.

   

Film Festival

On Wednesdays the year 7 and 8 went to the film festival at Sylvia Park. We all got out of the bus and walk inside and it was kind of dark I went up stairs and went into the big room. My friend and I sat down and waited for the movies to start so we just talk and play some games but we saw all of the other school there too.

After that the light turn of and we all stop talking and watch the movie. I was happy when it started because it took ages to start but then our movie play first it was kind of cool. There was another movie and it was Tamaki College movie it was called azonto they were dancing everywhere and breaking the news.

My Favourite movie was the test. It was so funny that I wanted to watch it again.           

Athletics day

On Athletics day I was in Te Aewa group. I got my clothes ready and went to the courts and sat down with my team we were waiting for Mr Burt to come. When he got back he told us where to go to our first activity our one was 75 m run we had to split up into group and we started to get ready and run. I was nervous and I felt like I didn’t want to run but I just warm up and got ready and ran the whole way but I came 2nd with starford.

I was so happy that I wanted to run again but I was waiting for the boy to run. After that it was my turn for 100 m run I got ready and ran with the fastest boy. Boom go the clap i was sprinting to the end so I can win but then so came 1st and I came last the end.  

My Favourite toy

My favourite toy is a car because I can take it with me everywhere and sleep with it too. My favourite toy looks like a Lamborghini because it’s fast like it and I like to play around with it. I just feel like I’m in a real Lamborghini. My toy car sounds like it’s going over the speed limit. It’s so fast that it could go 800mph. I reckon it’s the fastest car in the world, but I think its the Ferrari.

My favourite toy makes me feel like I’m driving it because when I play around with the car I imagine like I’m in a real car. My toy reminds me of my old car that my Dad sold on Trade Me because I always go everywhere with my Dad and Mum in the car.

The best memories I had of my toy is when I had my birthday party at my house. It was cool because I got my first toy car when I was 5 years old. I was happy because I play with it and my cousin and I had some racing competitions.

My Weekend

On the Weekend I went to the bmx tracks. I got ready and went down with my friends and there names were Lorenzo, Logan, Anthony and me went all together to the bmx when we got there we had a challenge who was the best. I went first and I did a bunny hop and a big jump over the big ramped and then lorenzo went went down and he did the same thing as me it was kind of scary when I zoom down the hill I did a big jump. It was a hot day when we were riding we had a race on all of the tracks but Logan came last and Lorenzo and I came a tie.

After that we went to drop of Lorenzo we went to his house and then we went. Logan and I went back home but I went to the pool next door to my house I got my togs and went over I went in and went to the cold pool. It was so cold that I was going to freeze to death so I went to the other pool the hot won. I stay there for a little while and then I left I went home and went to sleep the End.

Pt England Vs Koru School

On Thursday The girls had a game and it was their Koru final. They were Vsing against Koru school they were warming up and getting ready for their game. They got ready and went inside the fan and when they got their they got out of the fan and went on to the fields and put their gears on the ground.

They went to go and challenge the Koru team. The Koru kick to Pt England and the Girls team pick up the ball run and share the ball to each other and doing moves and they had skills the Pt England got the try and we're winning too. The girls were not showing off or tising them but the girl did well on their game but it was a draw but no one wins.

Cross Country

On Friday I went to go change my clothes in the boys toilets. I went to sit down in my line with the 12 years old group. When I was lining up to start the race I was nervous and kind of shaking a bit when Mr Burt was about to say go. I was ready to run but while waiting for Mr Burt to say go my legs were aching. Boom! went the clappers. I went to jog with my mates. As we were running Deedee was coming 1st out of the race.

We ran around the corner on the muddy and slippery ground. As I ran on the field, I entered the wet, puddly and gooey mud with my friends near the bush walk. As we were running through the scary brush walk we saw lots of trees and dirty water just on the side but when I got to the step and it  was slippery. So I took my time running and sometimes walking I stop and had a break near the Pt England gates. I was dizzy and kind of wobbling too.

I ran out to the fields and I saw Ms King and Mrs Lagitupu. I was running on the muddy ground and my shoes almost came out so I went around the cones to the dry grass. My legs were covered in mud even my shoes. I kept on running and I was close to the finish  line. I went near the 4 little wooden poles near the gate and ran my fastest to the finish line. I came 13th or 14th place but I didn’t care.

I was exhausted and thirsty and I felt great about it.
  

Usain Bolt

Yohan Blake went to sprint to try and beat Usain Bolt. Fast as lightning Usain Bolt broke the world record as the crowd was cheering for the green, yellow and black Jamaican team. Crossing the finish line was just awesome. It was like a victory because they were champions.

As Usain Bolt won he was the fastest man in the 100 metre sprints.  

Basketball

I like playing basketball because it’s a lot of fun when you shoot the ball into the hoop. On Thursday we went to go and play Basketball on the courts. We play near the office with room fifteen.

First we had to pick some random people in our classroom to make a team to do training with Shae and Tai. Some of my teammates are very  talented like the coach. He told us some instructions on how to play Basketball. He said “there’s no double dribble”. When he told us the instructions we started to practice doing our skills and bouncing so we don’t double dribble.

We went to play some games and do some moves. My team was cheating because they didn’t want to lose, so we threw the ball to the back of our line. We kind of won but we cheated so my team didn’t win we lost. Anyway we were trying and we did our best. It was tiring when we had to run at the front. I was exhausted and sometimes I did epic fails.  

NZ wins gold!

London is where all of the olympics games are held. On Tuesday the New Zealand team challenged lots of athletes around the world at rowing on the water. As they were rowing the people on the outside was cheering them on to win the two gold medal so they pushed their hardest with all of their strength. The New Zealand was close to winning the gold medal and the South African team was close to winning . They were going fast as New Zealand caught up to the USA. The NZ team won!

This year in 2012 the Olympics are going to be held in London on the 30th of July. The athletes practice and practice and then they wait for the Olympics to start. Famous people like Usain Bolt is one of the fastest people who broke a world record.

The first marathon

In 1895 there was a big war between the persians and the greeks. Persia was huge and bigger and wanted to capture Athens all of the greeks soldiers waited on top of the hill the other marathon was down bottom there was 48,000 persians and 10,000 greeks soldiers. The greeks ran for two days to sent down the messenger to get help from the sparta the sparta said they will not fight Intill the full moon.

The greeks could not hold it no more so they just fighted the persians. The greeks ran up and kill them and they won only 6400 persians were killed but only 192 greeks died the persians ran to their ship and went away. They try to go to athens to capture the greeks woman.

pheidippides had another job to do. He ran 40 kilometres to athens to tell the greeks that they won and to tell them that they had won and to tell that persians were coming to kill them The
pheidippides died. He became a post man.

My fitness goal

My Holiday highlight

My holiday was cool because I went to this program where we could play around and go anywhere. But our first trip was the Long Bay beach. There were lots of activities there. When we hopped out of the bus we went to this hall and sat down to have our snacks and had a little play around. 


The leader came and told us about the rules and safety because there were lots of cars on the road so she told us all of the rules. Then we went into a group and went to do a hard activity to don’t touch the ground with our feet.

Maths Whizz

This week I spent 68 minutes on Maths Whizz.

Art reflection

This term 2 reflection was alright because I didn’t like art that much. Our reflection was art alive because when we grow up we could be a artist like Henri Matisse or Vincent vongo they are both really good at drawing and they are a artist too. There are lots of artist in the world like pablo picasso he draw a face and mix it up and change it but he leave the face and draw another face and make it detail.


This term was a bast because it was cool. I hope next term is better than art alive like space or boxing but i don't know what it going to be but I thing its going to be fun or not. My reflection was alright but my best art was Henri matisse and my other one was pablo picasso because it look real or 3d.


I hope we have another great term.

Super room

My Special place is at home with the family because I can help my Mum to do the washing or clean up the house. Some times my Mum and Dad get tired and go to sleep while I clean. They have a rest but sometimes they do all of the work so they take a break. 
I like to clean up my room because it looks tidier and when people come in it won't be a mess.
I choose my room because it is my special place. It’s more tidy and cleaner than my old room before. My room is my special place because it’s nice and warm and that is important to me. 
My artist that I have picked is Vincent Van Gogh because I like the colour and the detail. His technique is very interesting.

Jenny and jack

Once upon a time there lived two kids named Jenny and Jack they lived in a huge tower. The two kids were locked in their tower, forbidden to leave the tower until the king lets them free. The reason for them locked away is because their dad was a thief and murderer of the great kingdom of Glen Innes. Their dad had died while trying to flee the lord's army but he got stabbed by the king with a spear. So the dad could not get punished. The mental and cruel king chose to punish his two kids instead of the dad. But the kids made it down from their keep at the top of the tower to see if they could try escape. Their luck was good because the guard forgot to lock the gates so they peeked through to see if there were any guards on the other side of the gate.

Jenny noticed a chalkboard and read it, it had the timetables of when the guards go for a break 10.00a.m-12.01p.m. While they read about the timetables, the guards took a break they know what to do to escape from the guards so they ran and saw the king sitting down on his chair but the king called for his guards and the guards rushed to the scene but luckily the gate was still open so they ran. Then Jenny tripped up and yelled help, but the guards shut the gate closed.

So Jack saw the king and knocked as hard as he could on the door while he was screaming please let her go but the king said leave my kingdom and never return. So he disappeared through the forest grounds and into the kingdom of Pt England never to be seen.11 years after he was banished he went to the king of Pt England to ask him for help, he pleaded “Lord Nazok please help me on a journey to save my sister” and he responded “yes neff I will help you on your journey to save the thing that means most to you”.

Thank you my king we need to figure out a plan how to attack the enemy Glen Innes. So they fought of a plan and attacked G.I     

Static image

The snake have a good background because it got lots of detail and there a little light and dark at the back. The snakes colud small somthings like a spider  or anything and my best part of it is the skin because its nice and soft. I like the snakes because it look like it going to get some thing or jump at some one.

Taonga time

Last week on Friday I went to room 18 to do ice hockey. Mr Barks told us the rules and about safety because our teeth might come out if you get hit. At first he told us about the first rule. There was no high stick allowed. If you do it you get sin binned. Mr Barks told us about being offside and shoulder barging. He then asked if we needed a mouthguard, cap, and a helmet, because if you don’t get any of them you will get hurt.

Next, we played and my team was good because we won lots of games at Tamaki. Mr Barks and I were one of the best, but then I kept on getting the ball and shooting it in the goal. Sometimes I missed the goal. Mr Barks is the man because when he shot long he sometimes gets it in, but then we won against the boys.

At last, it was the final. The girls were pretty good but we kept on losing so we lost. We didn’t really lose. We felt sorry for them, so we let them win.



    

Tamaki tech

Last week I went to tamaki college on Tuesday. I went to food tech and we baked some cookies. I washed my hands and went to go and get the equipment for cooking and We got ready to cook  and get the Ingredients:  -
1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup butter
1  2 cups chocolate chips
1 to 2 cups chopped chocolates


We put the cookies in the oven for 12 minutes after that we wash our dishes. We clean up our bench and waited for the chocolates cookies some of them started to rise so big that one of them was going to explode. We took  them out and it was pretty good when I ate my cookies it was yum when we went back to school I give my cookies to my Mum and Dad.  

Kane Compare and Contrast Picasso's 'The Weeping Woman' and and Daniella Hulmes 'A lazy day in paradise'.

On Monday the 14th of may we wrote about Compare and Contrast Picasso and Daniella too. The Weeping Woman look like she was sad and crying because it look like someone died. Picasso does random drawing and colourful colours it just look real because it look 3D. The technique that Picasso used was changing his drawing and making it different.

A lazy day in Paradise Daniella draw samoa patten because she married to a samoan Man. She like to draw samoa patterns and it look like it was the same one because it all seem the same because Daniella all way in the picture but she look kind of sad because she was alone. Daniella used different  technique it was special kind of brush stroke technique.

Henry Matisse and Van Gogh

We were asked to compare and contrast paintings by Van Gogh and Matisse. The paintings were called ‘Sunflowers’ and ‘La Musique’. Vincent Van Gogh used a special kind of brush stroke technique. He chopped off his ear and give it to his girlfriend but she didn't like it so she chucked it away because she was scared. Van Gogh chopped off his ear for nothing. Matisse's drawing are rough and colourful.

When I observe Vincent Van Gogh's painting,  the sunflowers look dead, burnt and sad. It looked like Vincent Van Gogh never look after his sunflowers. He used brown, yellow, and green. The background colour looks light yellow or brown.

Matisse drawings are kind of messy and his artwork looks very rough. He drew two ladies. One was with a guitar and one was sitting down. I like the background because it was like a cold shady place with the leaves.

Both paintings are opposites because one looks happy and one looks sad. La Musique is the happy painting and Sunflowers is the sad one.

Mihi mihi

This Mihi mihi is all about me. We had to say a speech in front of the class. I hope you enjoy it.

One tree hill

On Monday I went to one tree hill with my brother and cousin. I got my skateboard and went down the hill it was pretty hard the only trick that I did was an ollies. When I went down the hill my cousin Dallas fell of the tree and he broke his leg and I came and got my uncle Preston and he rang the ambulance.

My Dad and I went down to get the ambulance to get Dallas at the hospital as fast as we could. His leg was in pain and he was going in to a shock my Dad told the ambulance that Dallas was at the skate park. They got their tools and the bed to put him on so they line up the leg and put him on the bed and took him to the hospital and then we went home and look after our little cousin.

We waited and waited until we get a phone call from our uncle. At nighttime 11 o'clock we got a call that Dallas was ok so we went to the hospital on Saturday we saw him sleeping and he was fine he had breakfast. So we went back home and had a rest and Dallas went home.   

Camp concert

On Tuesday I went to the camp concert. My team and I were watching people dancing on the stage and then it was my team to dance. We went hard out but our one was a bit hard. Our dance was from the movie ‘Boy’ (Poi e). I was so shy that I wanted to go off but then my dance finished and I was so happy that I got off.

It was the next team and their one was pretty good. Lepa’s team song was ‘hey baby’. And then they got off the stage and the judge was thinking that who won and then they called out who came 4rd, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st. The Respect Squad came 6th and the Respect Crew came first.

Kane Camp

On Sunday I went to go and pack my stuff up for camp. When I did that I went to sleep and woke up in the morning and had breakfast I walk down to my School and put my bag in the hall. It was a raining day and my team and I went to do roller blades and table tennis I did roller blades first.

It was my first time blading in my whole life. I went to go around the whole school and it was pretty good I was racing and doing moves but Potaua was the best. I took of the roller blades and play table tennis I was the best at table tennis but then Dillon came and wasted me.

After that I did the amazing race. My partner and I spilt in two my other partner went to go and get the egg and fire and I got wood and tin we got ready and put the tin on the ground. So we light up the fire and cook up the egg we use the spoon to flip the egg over so it can’t get burnt and we were the first one to make ours.

Picnic

On Friday my class and I went to the picnic. We got ready and call out the roll and after that we went to the hall, Mr Burt was counting how much parents was coming with us. When Mr Burt did that we walk down to the beach and sat down again so Mr Burt told us the roles about safety and then we could play but we put our bag down by the tree and went out to play.

First I went to go and set up the Cricket and my mates came and help me set up the Cricket. I was the first one to bat so when my friend throw the ball I was ready to wrack the ball hard I ran 9 times and then I got tired and my friend got me out I took a rest under the tree and ate my lunch. I got back up and walk around the sand and then I went to go and build me a sand castle and busting it down and redo it again.

I saw the little kids playing and throwing tiny rock, splashing and swimming. It was my turn to swim and then I went to go and jump into the sea water I went on someone Else back and playing water fight in the sea water. And when we went to go and leaf so I got ready and got change in to my uniforms I got my bag and went back to school and sat down in my class.

I waited for the bell to ring and went back home and fell asleep My best part was swimming.

At the beach

On Sunday I got ready to go to the beach with my family. We went to point England beach the tired was in and I put some sunblock on and went in to the sea water but I was just booming of the rock. The sea water was cold but then I got use to it I went by the dip part of the rock and boom of it was like a cold freezing ice cube. I got out of the water and started skimming rocks in to the water’ we were having lost of challenge we made sandcastle and we play hide and seek.

My Brother Anthony was in he started counting and I went to the park and hiding by the side he came looking for me and he took 5 minute to find me and then it got boring so we play touch. with my mate next door by my house he came and play with us and these big boys came and started playing but then they change the game to rugby and they were hard they were like Kingston size that one of there name was Shane. One of my player got Hart so we stop playing and we did something else I had 3 minute left to go home so I went for a swim and boom of the rock.

I went to go and eat fish and chip after that I went home and went to sleep and my best part was touch.

The Treaty of waitangi

On 6th of February 1840 the Treaty of waitangi was signed. The Maori signed the treaty with the British. But some Maori were not happy to sign. There was a lot of clashes and conflict between Maori and Pakeha at the time.

There were arguments and disagreements at the treaty. A man called William Hobson and James Busby wrote a draft of the treaty. The Maori Tribes were angry because they did not understand the British Interests.

So a man named Henry Williams translated English into Maori so that the people of te reo Maori could understand. After he translated the Maori knew what they wanted and had a discussion. After the talk the Maori people wanted to sign the Maori version of the treaty.

The people were happy and all signed the treaty. William Hobson did a speech, “he iwi tahi tatou” we are all one people. They were all happy and celebrated. The principles of the treaty the 3 p’s: Protection, Partnership, and Participation.

Rainbows End

In the holidays I went to Rainbows End with my family. My Mum payed for the bands so we could get in and then we could play on the pirate-ship. We went in and went to the pirate-ship, it was so cool it was going so high that I was screaming and then we went off. After that my Dad picked his next activity and it was this racing car but I was too small so I went in this 3D to watch the dinosaur movie.

I put on my 3D classic and when the movie played the chair was moving and it felt real. I got out and went by the entry to get ready and go home. I was waiting for all of them to come and when they got there we took a photo by the the door.

Rainbows End was a lot of fun.
